How it started:
Back in 1983, our large warehouse store in Wellingborough was originally known locally for just selling camping equipment but early on we saw an opportunity to make our first move into Garden Furniture with the purchase of a container of store return garden furniture. Within hours of the container arriving, everything was sold. The local police force even had to be called in to help direct traffic! The success of this first container led to more container loads being purchased as demand continued to outstrip supply.
How it’s going:
Over the years our product range has evolved with customer demands and has previously included a wide and varied selection of items including fitness equipment, saunas, oak furniture and even children’s ride on electric toy cars!
Stepping forward to the present day, we use our decades of knowledge to carefully select and negotiate new container deals for Outdoor Furniture, Barbecues and Hot Tubs, whilst also keeping an eye out for other great deals, with these savings being passed onto our customers.
About our store:
Our store is located at Nene Court Shopping Village in Wellingborough and changes throughout the year to reflect the outdoor seasons. In summer our store displays a huge range of Outdoor Furniture, Gazebos, Barbecues and Hot Tubs as well as other Garden Accessories. Then in the winter months, we reduce the size of our remaining summer range to make room for Winter Clothing and a selection of Fireworks.
We also keep most of our items in stock so you don’t have to wait for any pre-orders to arrive. This also allows customers to collect from our store on the same day or alternatively we offer a local delivery service within 25 miles of our store using our own van and delivery team.
Our unique approach lies in our focus on our local customer base rather than attempting to reach a national audience online. We pride ourselves on delivering a traditional, personalised shopping experience in-store, where you can see all our products in person and chat with our friendly product experts. They not only have extensive knowledge but also personal experience with the products, making them truly passionate about what they do.
